Long-term Reduction In Hair Growth

Laser hair removal is a treatment that uses concentrated light energy to target hair follicles and reduce unwanted hair growth over a series of sessions. This uses a special laser (810nm diode wavelength)
Benefits of Laser Hair Removal Reduces the need for shaving, waxing, or plucking over time. Targets multiple hair follicles and can treat larger areas more efficiently than manual hair removal methods. Minimal discomfort, often described as a mild pinprick or heat sensation. Non-invasive, no needles or incisions. Effective on a range of skin tones with appropriate settings. Minimal downtime — most patients resume normal activities same day. Long-term reduction in hair growth with a completed treatment series.
Expected Results Treated hairs may continue to appear for a short period before shedding — this is a normal part of the process, not a sign the treatment didn’t work. Hair shedding commonly begins within 5–14 days after treatment and may continue for up to 1–3 weeks. A full treatment series is typically needed for significant, lasting hair reduction, since laser targets hair only in its active growth phase.

Important Safety Information

Possible Adverse Outcomes Although rare, hyperpigmentation and/or hypopigmentation can occur. Skin texture changes and trace scarring are possible. Skin turning ashen grey during treatment is a sign to stop immediately — your provider is trained to watch for this. No guarantees are implied as to the outcome of treatment. Blistering/burns – Possible if skin is not monitored carefully during treatment. Bruising – Pinpoint bruising can occur over treated vessels. Infection – Uncommon, but proper aftercare significantly reduces this risk. Contraindications This Treatment May Not Be Right for You If You Have: An active infection, open wound, or sunburn in the treatment area. Recent sun exposure or use of sunless tanning products in the area. A history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring. Certain photosensitizing medications — please disclose all current medications. FAQs

What Is Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal is a treatment that uses concentrated light energy to target hair follicles and reduce unwanted hair growth over a series of sessions. This uses a special laser (810nm diode wavelength)

How Does It Work?

The diode laser emits light that is selectively absorbed by melanin in the hair follicle. This energy converts to heat, damaging the follicle and impairing its ability to regrow hair, while leaving the surrounding skin unaffected. Because hair grows in cycles, only follicles in an active growth phase at the time of treatment are effectively targeted — which is why a series of sessions is needed to catch hairs across all growth phases.

Why Choose Laser Hair Removal?

For patients looking for a longer-term alternative to shaving, waxing, or plucking, the laser hair removal offers a well-established way to reduce unwanted hair growth over time, with sessions that fit easily into a normal routine and minimal downtime.
